lyrics
My head is a hitching post for bad ideas and insomnia, and if I could learn to deal, I'd be no worse for wear. You said I wouldn't feel a thing, but then you jumped the gun. Its hard to find a place to go when you've got nowhere to run. It was beautiful like train wrecks, in a car crash kind of way. I didn't want to look, but I couldn't look away.
We built up streetlights so we couldn't see the stars, the fire burning bright inside every single heart. We're all pretending that we know what its like to fly, but my feet are on the ground while my heart is in the sky. So take off or run away. I'll stop at nothing less.
My head is a hitching post for worthless words and the intended truth. If I could learn to choose my words, then I wouldn't be alone. I'm tired of forever screwing up everything I touch and everything I love. In the end, I guess I need to just grow up.
The streets of this town are paperweights for anxiety, and all my worst fears are realized in black and white. I can't breathe, and I can't fight back any more. This town just won the twelfth round.
